An interactive crowd-sourced object-triggered video remixing experience. Seriously.
Staff across the entire agency were asked to submit ideas for short films based on their responses to 4 everyday objects - a box, a plant, a phone and a coffee pot.
I curated the content, helped staff make the films a reality (some who had never made a film before), and had some fun animating my own contribution for the coffee pot, seen in the GIFS above.
A bespoke booth was created for the Retail Design Expo. The films were to be triggered by placing RFID-enabled objects on a shelf below 4 projections, which each displayed a relevant film for the object. The films could be ‘remixed’ by placing and removing different objects, and were tied together with 4 channels of audio that were faded in and out with the object interaction. A hugely fun collaborative project.
